Victory: |
Model designed entirely in-house by Rich, Dave and John.
It is our intention to produce the most historically accurate model of H.M.S.
Victory, as she was at Trafalgar. As you may be aware H.M.S. Victory is in
the process of being restored to her original Trafalgar configuration in time
for the bicentenary celebrations on October 21st 2005. We are working closely
with the curator for H.M.S. Victory to ensure that all planned amendments
to H.M.S. Victory will also be incorporated into our finished kits.
The first model under construction is at a scale of 1:72. We are aiming for
a release date of late April. As soon as we have a price we will publish it
here.
| The all new forecastle! Note the solid bulwarks with three gunports,
this corresponds with the most up to date research on Victory's true
condition in 1805! The forward most gunport and the fiferail are used
by the 68 pounder carronade and the two aft gunports are used by the
12 pounder medium guns. |

| Victory's
waist. |
||
| Victory's
quarterdeck. |
||
| Victory's poop deck! Note the hammock cranes are boarded up, again this corresponds to the most up to date research on Victory's condition in 1805! As well as being boarded up, there should be three gunports in the boarding (full details will be included in the kit). These gunports were used by 6 x 18 pounder carronades up until the re-fit in 1803. Although the carronades were removed during the re-fit, the gunports remained. |

| Close up of
the main mast showing extra detailing such as boarding pikes, belaying
pins and hammock cranes. |
||
| Victory's
figurehead, note the clear text and crest detailing. Note also the three
bobstays. |
