| HMS
Victory: |
Model designed entirely in-house by Rich, Dave and John.
It is our intention to produce the most historically accurate model of H.M.S.
Victory, as she was at Trafalgar. As you may be aware H.M.S. Victory is in
the process of being restored to her original Trafalgar configuration in time
for the bicentenary celebrations on October 21st 2005. We are working closely
with the curator for H.M.S. Victory to ensure that all planned amendments
to H.M.S. Victory will also be incorporated into our finished kits.
The first model under construction is at a scale of 1:72. We are aiming for
a release date of late April. As soon as we have a price we will publish it
here.
| Bows
and beakhead bulkhead: Note the three pictures on the left are identical
except that they demonstrate the door(s) are on fully functioning hinges
allowing the modeller / viewer to look along the upper gun deck seeing
the fully rigged cannons, steam trunk, masts, bitt pins etc. Note also the brass etched decorative pilasters and arched mouldings. Again the forecastle has been removed in the following photos and will not be shown until a later date, also these photos were taken prior to a large amount of detailing such as rails, chainplates, wriggles / save alls were added and as such the final painting and touching up has not been applied. |
||
| Bows showing the main rail, beakhead bulkheads, hair brackets, hawse holes etc and their corresponding colours. |

bows and beakhead bulkhead. |
||
| Stern decoration.
Again prior to final painting. Note, the decoration has been "placed" on the stern fascia for the photograph, it will not be glued into position until the fascia itself is secured to Victory due to the camber of the fascia when in position on the model. |
||
| Quarter gallery
brass etched decoration, note the black and yellow painting of the quarter
galleries does not correspond to the black and yellow bands on the main
hull, this is not a mistake but is as should be. Also, the windows are
glazed and will have brass etched frames. |

| View of the
quarterdeck showing some of the deck fittings and the main channel in
place ready for rigging. |
